The First Human Y Chromosome Proteome Project Symposium The first symposium on Human Y Chromosome Proteome Project was held on January 9th, 2014 in memorial of the late
founder of Royan Institute, Dr Saeid Kazemi Ashtiani. The Molecular Systems Biology research group of Royan Institute
for Stem Cell Biology and Technology organized this symposium with around 175 participants.
Dr Tadashi Yamamoto, president of Japanese Proteomics Society, Dr Ghasem Hosseini Salekdeh, lead researcher of
the project in Iran and some other researchers delivered the following lectures:
- Generalities about clinical topics in the world of infertility
- Assessment of transcript and protein profiles of infertile individual may help to select individuals with low fertilization
potential candidate of artificial oocyte activation
- An evolutionary perspective on Y chromosome variation and male infertility
- The Human Chromosome X Project
- Human Y Chrmosome Proteome Project: 2014 update
- Monitoring of protein-protein interactions and intracellular messengers using split luciferase complementary assay in
cell differentiation and apoptosis
- Peptide Structure Fingerprinting (PSF): a fold recognition approach to predict 3D structures of protein sequences
- Antibody based profiling of Y chromosome proteins by using homemade antibodies
- Knockdown of lysine-specific demethylase 5D, a Y chromosome-located gene, in prostate cancer cells regulated cell
growth and proliferation
- Expression profiling of AZFb region genes alternative isoforms and their X-linked homologues in testes of azoospermic
men
- Y chromosome genes expression profiling during differentiation of NT2 cells to dopaminergic neurons under Androgen
treatments
- Human pluripotent stem cells and their differentiated derivatives as the novel sources for human proteome project
- Differential expression of human Y chromosome male specific region genes versus ubiquitous expression of their X-
linked homologues suggest a role for sexually dimorphic development of the brain
- Biophysical Proteomics
The scientific manager of the first Human Y Chromosome Proteome Project Symposium was Dr Gh Hosseini Salekdeh
and the executive secretary was H Vakilian.
